Relational Director-Keisha Jackson

Lakeisha (Keisha) Jackson currently lives in Newark, Delaware. She has a big heart for missions and helping the poor. She has led teams in Wilmington and abroad and been on several missions trips. She spent time in Cambodia  studying at a Discipleship Training School through Youth With A Mission(YWAM) and helping start an aids orphanage. Keisha grew up in the city of Wilmington. At age nine she became part of Freedom Outreach, playing in the parks and attending the after school program. As she got older she began volunteering and has been part of Freedom Outreach ever since.  Keisha Is always looking for an opportunity to learn and grow; she  is currently enrolled in the Vineyard Leadership Institute and is taking classes on Biblical Studies.

Administrative Director-Kristen Hilferty

Kristen and her husband Josh live in Wilmington, DE with their daughters Justice & Joelle. Kristen graduated in 2007 from Wilmington University with her bachelors in Elementary Education. She taught Kindergarten at K.H. Wilbur Elementary for 4 years before resigning to stay home with her girls. Kristen became administrative assistant to Mary Hampson in June 2011 and then co-director in 2012 with Anna Richardson and now Keisha Jackson. She handles the administrative aspects of the ministry.

Lynn Latshaw
Lynn graduated from U of DE with a master’s degree in guidance & agency counseling. Lynn has a passion for God’s people to know the Lord intimately, to become all they are meant to be by growing their God-given abilities, and to be able to live a life full of joy. She and her husband, Bruce, have 5 adult children, 9 grandchildren (would you like to see my photos?), & 3 huge dogs. Lynn loves studying the Bible and her dream, if she knew Greek or Hebrew, would be to do her own translation of the Bible.

Rob Palkovitz
Rob Palkovitz is Professor of Human Development and Family Studies at the University of Delaware and an Elder at The Barn Vineyard Church in Landenberg, PA. He works with families, children, teens, and dads to enhance the development of their faith. He regularly participates in ministry training and development initiatives through The Barn Vineyard Church and Camp Josiah. Along with his family, he has done volunteer work at Tri-State Christian Camp for over 18 years.

Nathan Palkovitz
Nathan Palkovitz lives in Landenberg with his wife Shannon, and daughters Isla and Tessa. He works at Lewis Dual Language Elementary School in Wilmington, DE as an assistant principal. Nathan has been involved with Freedom Outreach in various roles since 1999, including volunteering with after-school programs, baseball in the park, Bible Club, and Vacation Bible Schools. Nathan co-directed Freedom Outreach while living there with other volunteers in 2002-2003.

Brad Dunn
Brad Dunn has a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from The Ohio State University and worked for DuPont for 36 years before retiring in 2006. He held leadership and management positions in plant engineering, international project design, human resources, and global procurement during his career. He is very active in his church, City Light Vineyard, where he has led many service projects to help those in need. He has volunteered at many outreaches over the years as a driver and group leader. The older boys love playing basketball with Brad during free time. He is married and has three grown children and seven grandchildren.

Kathy Rolland

Kathy has a doctoral degree in educational leadership from Wilmington University. She has been involved with Freedom Outreach in one form or another since its beginning. She has always has a heart for children, especially “the least of these.” She has been a public school teacher in Delaware since 1990 and considers this to be her mission field.

Kristen Puican

Kristen resides in Fair Hill, Maryland with her husband John, two children, Brie and Evan, and two dogs, Sophie and Charlie. Kristen works full-time as a social worker for the State of Maryland in two public elementary schools and provides emergency/crisis outreach services to families and children in need. Kristen has been working in the field of child welfare since graduating from the University of Delaware in 1987 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Child Development.  Kristen has a big heart for children, their families and helping anyone in need.

Judy Palkovitz

Judy Palkovitz is an art teacher at Towle Institue and Urban Promise elementary. She has been involved with Tri State Christian Camp for over 19 years, and Freedom Outreach for 10+ years. She is on the Freedom Outreach leadership team. She is very family oriented. After raising 4 sons, she now loves spending time with them, their wives, and her 4 granddaughters! Judy’s involvement with Freedom Outreach includes planning, and preparing for, and sending 30 kids from Wilmington to Tri-State Camp each summer. During the year she co leads mentoring groups, delivers birthday cakes and visits kids and families in the city. The heart of her ministry, whether in Bible study groups, small group mentoring, or just having fun is to bring the love of God to his children. Her vision is to share the love of God in ways that can be understood. To empower young people by helping them believe in and connect with the strength, hope, joy, and sense of purpose that is available to them, and to know that they are priceless to the Father! 

Katy Hayes

Katy and her husband, Ryan, live in Wilmington, DE. She is a pediatric nurse and works part time for the after hours telephone triage department. She is a youth leader and girls small group leader at Brandywine Valley Baptist Church. Her parents helped start Freedom Outreach in 1999 and she lived in the city of Wilmington for 2 years with her family. In 2014, God opened up the door for her to start regularly volunteering with Freedom Outreach. She helps co lead girls mentoring groups, is involved in weekly playtimes in Riverside and helps with the planning for annual events. She also helps her church partner with Freedom Outreach in different ways including the Thanksgiving box collection, Christmas star program and the community summer outreaches. She loves the relational aspect to volunteering with Freedom Outreach. It’s amazing to her to see how sharing the love of Jesus and just showing up can have such an impact to build relationships with the children and families.

Sarah Palka

Sarah currently lives with her husband, Nick, in Wilmington, DE. She is a music teacher for children with special needs in the Christina School District. In her spare time she enjoys coaching soccer, cycling, and playing the violin in a few bands. Sarah has been a Freedom Outreach volunteer since 2011. She loves to mentor teen girls and help run outreaches.

Crystal McCardell

Crystal graduated from Penn State University with a BA in Elementary Education and received her Masters from Wilmington University. She currently teaches fifth grade in Cecil County Maryland. She serves as the Missions Coordinator at The Barn Vineyard Church. She has been involved in Freedom Outreach for over 10 years. She helps organize monthly events including the Easter and Christmas Parties and has a passion for sharing Jesus’ love with those that attend. She loves working with the children and families in Wilmington. She also enjoys mentoring the teen girls and discussing the Bible with them.
